DIGITAL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Files must be in RGB/ JPEG format. File size must be no more than 2MB and no less than 300KB at a resolution of 120 DPI.
Do not send prints unless requested.
All image file titles must be labeled with the following information:
"Your First Name_Last Name_Theme Number_Theme Designate (A: Smile or B: Super Heroes or C: Athletes)_Image number (1,2, or 3).jpg"

Please do not send original digital files as TCB-Cafe Publishing cannot return any materials.
COMPETITION CATEGORIES
The 2007 photo contest / art contest has two variations of the theme, SMILES and HEROES, which were interpreted in the 2006 Contest. In this 2007 Call for Entries, submissions may interpret these themes broadly:
1) Super Heroes (photography, art, graphic novels)
DESCRIPTION: Super heroes have always existed, both real and imagined. Photography and art allows the artist to now capture and illustrate those fictional and non-fictional persons (and animals) as never before. Photographers and illustrators are invited to show us the Super Heroes in our world, or not of it.
Note: "Super Heroes" is for photography, painting, graphic arts, comics, manga, and photo-essay/journalism. The topic is also very open to your interpretation - entries based in reality/real life people, historic figures or fantasy (even "winged" characters can be considered super heroes). Graphic novels and manga entries can submit four storyboard pages.
2) The Artist as a Hero (photography, art, graphic novels)
DESCRIPTION: Either in your work or about your work, show us how the artist, now or historically, can be considered a hero.
All submitted images must represent one of the competition themes. Images can be in color or black & white. Images can be entered in only one category.
3) The Athlete as a Hero (photography)
DESCRIPTION: Show us how the Athletes and the pursuit of athletic competition, now or historically, can be considered as heroic.

After submitting online the 2007 ENTRY FORM (CLICK HERE), you will be directed to a web page to pay your entry fees online. The preferred method of secure credit card payment is via PayPal. At the completion of online payment you may submit your contest-formatted images via email to this email address "photos2007 at

DIGITAL SUBMISSION VIA CD REQUIREMENTS
Please verify that all submissions are virus free before sending.
The CD should be mailed with the signed and completed ENTRY FORM (CLICK HERE) (a signed printout copy of the online entry form page), and a self-addressed stamped postcard (postcard will be returned upon receipt of submission). Please also include a check or money order for payment. Payment must accompany every entry.
Send entry by regular mail (no Fedex or UPS). If you need to send via a high speed courrier service, please contact TCB-Cafe Publishing for instructions on how to address your package.

ADDITIONAL CONTEST REQUIREMENTS
Entrants selected as finalists will be requested via email to send a high-resolution file of the image under consideration. This file should be sent according to the instructions listed on the website when Finalists are announced (December 1st, 2007).
All Entrants should check this site on December 1st, 2007 to review contest status and instructions for Finalists. The decisions of the judges are final.
